Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

1. Who we are

pdfbuilder.app is a free online PDF tool. We do not require an account to use the service.

2. Files you upload

  • Files are stored in a temporary session on our servers solely to perform the operation you request.
  • Files are automatically and permanently deleted when your session ends (at the end of your session, or 3 hours maximum) or when you delete them manually.
  • Files are never shared with third parties, never used for training AI models, and never accessed by our staff except for the purpose of debugging a reported technical error.
  • All file transfers are encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

3. Free tier limits

  • Up to 50 files per session.
  • Up to 50 MB total storage per session.
  • Session data is deleted at the end of your session, or 3 hours maximum.

4. Cookies & session identifiers

We store a single anonymous session cookie (pw_session) to track your temporary workspace. This cookie contains no personal information and expires when your session ends. No tracking or marketing cookies are set by pdfbuilder.app.

5. Application analytics

We use Microsoft Azure Application Insights to collect anonymous usage telemetry (page views, errors, performance). No personally identifiable information is collected. Telemetry is retained for 90 days.

6. Data retention summary

7. Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete beyond your session files (which you can delete at any time using the "Delete All Files" button, or which are automatically purged on session expiry).

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
